초록
현대 중국 디자인 발전을 국가 전략의 일환으로 간주하여 그 전략의 내용과 실제 디자인의 발전 과정을 분석한다. 그것이 연구 목적이고 중국의 국가권력과 예술, 디자인의 특수한 관계에 대한 이해가 연구 배경이다. 연구 방법으로 ‘현대화’ 이론을 차용하고, 연구 문제로 중국 정부의 디자인 중시의 이유 등에 대한 이유를 모색한다. 이론 검토로 일반 국가의 정치, 문화와 디자인의 관계 이론과 특수 이론으로 중국 정치, 문화와 디자인의 관계를 적용한다. 디자인 문화 전략으로 2004년과 2008년을 기점으로 2004년 이후는 디자인에 대한 승급과 전형의 원칙이 적용되었고 ‘창의 산업’으로 개념 정의를 한다. 2008년 이후 단계에서는 실제 국가 드라이브 정책이 실시되며 ‘공업 디자인’을 중심으로 ‘디자인 산업’의 창조와 육성, 제도화에 역점을 둔다. 디자인 발전 전략의 실제로는 공업 디자인과 중국화 디자인 그리고 환경 보호 디자인을 표상으로 하여 각각 중국의 현재, 실험(진행형)과 미래 지향형으로 유형화하여 사례를 분석한다. 결론으로 다음 세 가지를 제시한다. 첫째, 중국 국가 주도형 디자인 육성은 디자인에 대한 중요성 인식 차원보다는 궁극적으로 정치 논리에 의거한 영구 집권의 이론에 의거하여 수립, 실천된다. 둘째, 디자인의 영역을 현재형과 실험형 및 미래형으로 나눌 수 있으며 이는 각각 공업 디자인, 중국화 디자인 및 환경 보호 디자인의 영역으로 귀납된다. 셋째, 국가 주도의 강력하고 일관된 정책의 성격으로 보아 향후 중국 디자인은 세계 정상의 산물(産物)로 될 잠재력을 지닌다.
Abstract
I explain and study that the design development in contemporary China be related with one of national strategies and suggest the contents and development processes. They are the purpose of the paper, and the background is understanding of relationship between national political power and art or design. The modernization theories is the approach method, and the reasons of stress to the design of Chinese government are theses of the paper. The reviews of the study paper are comprised two parts: relationship between politics and culture or design to be general theories, and the adoption of politics, culture and design theories to be specific theories. The design culture backup strategies have had two memorial years: 2004 and 2008. After the year of 2004, the gov. has adopted upgrade and transformation, the concepts to be creative tendency, and after the year of 2008, gov. drive policies has practiced ‘industrial design’ to be the core creation, and support and institutionalization to be the consideration agendas. The practice of design development strategies have had representations of industrial design Chinization design and environmental protection design, and they have present, experimental and future design types. In conclusion, I suggest that first, The logic of Chinese gov. design development strategies had been the point of forever power acquisition, second, design categories are divided three: present, experimental and future design types and they may represent industrial design, Chinization design and environmental protection design, and third, in the future, the trends or developmental orientations will be the things of the peak worldwide for strong and consistent national strategy support.
