Development and Verification of Aircraft FE Model for the Missile-Target Interaction Analysis of Large Aircraft

In this paper, to calculate and evaluate the aircraft impact force, the missile-target interaction analysis of aircraft was simulated by using AUTODYN. The resultant reaction force of symmetric rigid wall is considered as the impact force of aircraft. The large commercial B747 aircraft was used for the missile which are using for long distance flight. The preparation of refined FE mesh and impact analysis were simulated by using Hydrocode. The aircraft debris and secondary trajectory effects were considered by the eroding effect on the FE shell element. To evaluate the impact force of aircraft, the Riera approach were used for the reference impact time history graph which provided by OECE-NEA (2002). Finally the verification of the simulated results for aircraft impact force are compared with the reference values.
