한․중 수교 20년의 역정(歷程)과 한․중 경제협력의 새로운 과제
Economic Road for Twenty Years after the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations and New Assignment on Economic Cooperation between Korea and China

본 논문은 1978년 중국의 개혁개방을 전후한 한․중 수교의 경제적 배경을 정리하고, 한․중 수교 20년의 역정(歷程)을 교류 형성기(1992~1996), 교류 심화기(1997~2007), 교류안정기(2008~2010), 교류 확대 발전기(2011~현재)로 획정하였다. 그리고 한․중 경제협력 현황 및 최근 중국과 한국의 경제동향을 분석한 다음 한․중 경제협력 활성화 전략을 경제사적 관점에서 제시하였다. 한․중 상호간의 투자 증가, 중국의 저성장 현실화, 중국의 내수시장규모의 증가와 한국기업의 중국진출 확대, 한․중 산업구조 변화 및 중국의 세계경제전략 변화 등 의 양국을 둘러싼 경제 환경 변화와, 미국이 주도하는 ‘환태평양경제동반자협정(TPP)’ 추진 등 세계경제 질서 재편 움직임 속에서 한․중 경제가 윈-윈 할 수 있는 한․중 경제협력의 활성화 전략을 제시하였다. 또한 세계경제의 주도권을 둘러싼 질서의 재편과 급속한 환경변화에 대응하기 위하여 한․중 양국은 경제협력의 강화 단계를 넘어 더욱 분명하고 강고한 한․중 경제 협력 체제를 확대발전 시켜 나아가야 한다고 결론지었다.
Abstract
This paper is to show how two countries, Korea and China, strengthen economic cooperation system to handle the change in economic environment and the realignment of hegemony in the world economy. To do so, we arrange economic backgrounds on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China. Then we demarcate the economic road for 20 years after that of diplomatic relations between two countries known as the formative period for exchange, the deepen period for that, and the stabilization period for that. Finally, we analyze economic cooperation status between them. In conclusion, we suggest the strategies for activating business exchanges from the economic history of view. Next, we show how to activate the economics cooperation by considering (i) the increase in investment between two countries, (ii) the plateau of slow economic growth and the increase in the size of the domestic market in China, (iii) the increase in China based korean companies, and (iv) the change in economic environment around two countries.
