What Is to Be Done for the Stabilization of Law School System in Korea?

It has been five years since the adoption of law school system to educate and train lawyers in Korea. This system as a way of legal education aims at the training of lawyers by providing with the finest levels of education through three-year course in residence. It also provides with a variety of curricula to prospecting-lawyers having various majors and personal careers, presenting them a lot of expansion path. The core of its education is cultivating practical knowledge and reasoning skills in legal fields. However, there are several obstacles with this law school system stabilized in Korea. One of the obstacles is unfounded distrust towards the institution of law school. Moreover, unlike the purport of training Lawyers with authentic curricula, they are deteriorating into just a process of the Bar Exam. Last but not least, the autonomy of law school necessary for running finest curricula is being intruded. What is to be done to solve the problems which disturbs the stabilization of law school system in Korea? So this research deals with problems and suggests ways to improve, especially in the current curricula of Law School by pointing out intrusion on academic administration, problems in subjects operating and tilted studying on the Exam. Lastly, it calls attention for awareness sharing on its purpose and educational objectives, and the arousal for the law school to settle down and make its way.
