결혼중개업의 관리에 관한 법률 해석과 국제결혼중개업의 공익화 방안에 대한 연구

The problems that immigrants by marriage bring to multicultural policies are critical in determining Korea’s past and present. Thus, although scrutinizing the issue may be considered as invasion of privacy, the fact that whether immigrants by marriage should be encouraged or restricted needs to be established in basic direction of nation policy. This study points out the causes and progressions of importation of immigrant by marriage and the evaluation of each cause and progression. Under these main analysis, the study concludes in that the issue over immigration by marriage should be continuously treated passively, and that international marriage for-profit businesses brokerage should not be permitted, because it violates the Marriage Brokerage Business Manage Act. However, the prohibition of international marriage brokerage business should be only limited to for-profit businesses. In addition, the study emphasizes that international marriage brokerage must be controlled by non-profit organizations, in which the non-profit organizations should be putting forth to promote public interests for international marriage and normalizing the multicultural policies. Meanwhile, as the study cites that Taiwan has already put the policy of garnering public interests in international marriage brokerage issue into practice, the study supports the need to investigate the international marriage system in Taiwan and find ways to apply the policy to Korea.
