한국판 공정문화 척도(K-JCAT)의 타당화 연구: 공군 조종사들을 대상으로

Just culture has recently emerged as a popular topic, and the presence of a just culture is said to be accompanied by a wide range of positive benefits related to safety. However, lack of instruments that measure just culture has been a shortcoming in past research that attempted to examine this relationship. This study was to examine the validity and reliability of the Korean version of Just Culture Assessment Tool(K-JCAT). In study 1, an exploratory factor analysis at the item level using a sample of 236 pilots suggested six-factor structure. In study 2, a confirmatory factor analysis using the responses of another 272 pilots revealed that the six-factor structure was supported. The result indicates that the K-JCAT has adequate internal reliability. Data from correlational analyses supported the construct and discriminant validity of the scale in that just culture was strongly related to both safety culture and communication satisfaction but was substantially unrelated to safety motivation. Also, a logistic analysis revealed that just culture significantly predicted error reporting. Finally, theoretical and practical implications are discussed, and directions for further just culture research and assessment are suggested.
