한글 주얼리의 세계화를 위한 디자인 제안

감성과 문화를 융합하여 새로운 가치를 창출하는 창조 경제의 시대에 K-POP, K-Design에 대한 세계인들의 관심이 고조되고 있다. 시대 흐름에 맞춰 우리의 문화와 고부가가치 산업인 주얼리를 접목한 한국 주얼리 브랜드의 탄생이 매우 시급히 요청되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국의 정체성을 가장 잘 표현한 ‘한글’을 주제로 한글 주얼리 디자인을 제안하였다. 한글에 대한 이론적 배경, 문자 응용 디자인 사례 조사를 바탕으로 7명의 디자이너가 한글과 한국의 아름다움에 대한 재해석을 통해 제시한 독창성 있는 주얼리 작품은 ‘2013청와대사랑채 주얼리 문화전’과 런던에서 개최된 ‘Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2013’ 전시회에 참여함으로써 세계화를 위한 도전적 노력을 시도하였다. 한글 주얼리가 개발되고 국제적인 전시에 참여한다는 것은 우리나라 주얼리 산업을 대표하는 수출 전략적 상품으로써의 발전 가능성을 제시하였다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 한글 주얼리가 한국의 정체성과 한글의 우수성을 알림과 동시에 한국 디자인의 가치를 세계 속에서 구현할 수 있는 기틀을 마련하였으며, 이를 계기로 지속적으로 한글 주얼리 디자인에 대한 관심과 연구가 이루어질 수 있길 희망한다.
Abstract
In the creative economy, fusion of emotion and culture to create a new value. The world's heightened interest in K-POP and K-Design. The births of Korea jewelry brand were very urgently requested. It should be combine high value-added industry and our culture. In this study, we suggested the 'Hangul jewelry' collection which motive by best represents of the identity of Korea. In the first chapter, we researched a theoretical background of Hangul and case studies of character design. Secondly, seven jewelry designers tried to create their originality design within the beauty of Korea and Hangul. They participated in 'Sarangchae Jewelry Cultural Exhibition' and 'Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2013'. To create Hangul jewelry collection and to exhibit at the international fair, these were the first challenging for the globalization. It represents potential for the development as export product strategically. From this study, we introduced the excellence of Hangul and the identity of Korea. At the same time, it shows the possibility of K-design in the world market. We hope to continued research of Hangul jewelry and interest in Hangeul as design motif.
