지식재산(특허) 생산에 대한 정부연구비 지원의 영향 분석:우리나라 이공계 전공분야 대학교수들의 연구활동 결과를 중심으로

This study conducted a series of empirical analyses in order to assess the impact of government investment in R&D on intellectual property, and particularly on patent production. Using the mean difference analysis method, an empirical analysis was carried out focusing on individual characteristic variables and environmental variables known as significant variables. Regression analysis was also used to ascertain the effect of research funding on patent performance in the forms of patent application, patent registration, technology transfer, and royalty income. The results of the regression analysis revealed that the scale of research funding, an independent variable, exhibited positive relationships with all patent performances (patent application, patent registration, technology transfer, and royalty income). In addition, among three types of researchers (government, corporations, universities), it was found that government affected patent performance most significantly. The empirical results of this study confirmed that government research funding positively affects not only the improvement of research achievements, but also the innovation of companies through technology transfer.
