본 연구는 기업이 공급자와 관련된 의사결정에 있어서 고려되어야 할 주요 윤리성 요인을 파악하고 이 요인들이 공급자와의 신뢰 형성 및 협력 활동에 미치는 영향에 관하여 고찰한다. 현실성과 당위성이라는 두 가지의 윤리성 요인은 공리론, 상대주의론, 정의론, 의무론, 이기주의론을 포함하는 윤리 이론에 기반을 두고 기업이 공급자에 대하여 비윤리적 의사결정을 내리는 이유를 설명한다. 연구의 결과에 따르면 현실성 요인은 공급자와의 신뢰 형성에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났으나 당위성 요인은 영향을 미치며, 현실성 요인은 공급자와의 협력 활동에 영향을 미치나 당위성 요인은 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 기업은 실무적 입장에서 공급자의 역량을 올바로 판단하고 신뢰 관계를 구축하기 위하여 정의론, 의무론 및 이기주의론으로 설명되는 당위성 요인에 근거하여 의사결정을 내려야 하며, 협력 활동을 수행하기 위하여 공리론과 상대주의론에 의해 설명되는 현실성 요인에 근거를 두고 의사결정을 내려야 한다.
Abstract
This research attempts to investigate ethical factors in the supply chain decision-making and their impact on trust building and collaboration with suppliers. The efficiency-oriented factor and the duty-bounded factor are developed based on ethics principles including utilitarianism, relativism, justice, deontology, and egoism as the key ethical factors explaining why firms make unethical decision-making in the relationships with suppliers. According to the result, the efficiency-oriented factor has an effect on the duty-bounded factor has a significant impact on trust building with suppliers but not on collaboration with suppliers. Firms may explain the reason for fair evaluation of suppliers' competency and trust building with the duty-bounded factor based on justice, deontology, and egoism. They may explain the reason for collaboration with the efficiency-oriented factor based on utilitarianism and relativism.
