Therapeutic jurisprudence is the study of the role of the law as a Therapeutic agent. This approach suggests that the law and procedure can function as a therapist by itself. Law, legal procedures, and the roles of legal actors such as police officer, prosecutor, judges, may produce therapeutic or anti-therapeutic effects. Criminal victim who injured psychologically may be confronted on criminal process. Victims can have strong feelings of fear, depression, humiliation, anger, and powerlessness and reduce the victim’s sense of self-esteem. Criminal justice system should help healing of victim. Therapeutic jurisprudence focuses on the fact the victims's feeling and thinking that they have been treated fairly can help their healing and recovery. The recent study seek to better understand the potential for healing of victims of crime in the criminal justice system by examining victim participation and its perceived impact on victims. If victims are treated with dignity and respect and judge, prosecutor, police officer and criminal agencies are listened to and taken seriously, they will be satisfied and healed.
