가맹사업거래의 공정화에 관한 법률에 관한 고찰-외식 가맹사업자의 보호를 위한 관점-

The Fair Trade Commission (hereafter FTC) announced a revision of the Fair Transactions In Franchise Business Act, which disappointed franchisees across the industry. FTC had already revised the Fair Transactions In Franchise Business Act several times in order to protect franchisees from franchisors’ high-handedness. The recent revision of the Fair Transactions In Franchise Business Act reverts back to the old system which overlooked the high-handedness of franchisors over their franchisees. Thus, this paper reviews the revised Fair Transactions In Franchise Business Act and contemplates how it will affect restaurant franchisees. Important implications on the revised Fair Transactions In Franchise Business Act are discussed.
