통제 메커니즘이 관계결속에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -중국의 석유화학제품 시장을 중심으로-
The Effect of Control Mechanism on Relational Commitment -Evidence from the China’s Petrochemical Product Market-

본 연구는 중국 석유화학제품의 대외무역에 초점을 맞춰 유통경로에서 공급업체에 의하여 사용되는 통제 메커니즘들과 공급업체에 대한 구매업체의 결속과의 관계에 대해 검증하고자 한다. 이를 통해 이러한 통제 메커니즘들이 관계결속에 어떻게 다른 영향을 미치는가를 파악하고, 관계결속이 관계성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 중국시장에서 유통경로 구성원 간 장기적·협력적인 관계유지와 상호성과를 향상시키는데 효과적인 통제 메커니즘을 밝히고자 한다. 한국 공급업체와 3개월 이상의 거래를 하고 있는 중국 석유화학제품 구매업체 312개의 표본을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시한 결과 공급업체에 의하여 사용되는 통제 메커니즘인 인센티브, 호의수준은 공급업체에 대한 구매업체의 관계결속을 강화시켰으며, 공급업체가 사용하는 통제 메커니즘인 감시는 공급업체에 대한 구매업체의 결속에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 또한, 공급업체에 대한 구매업체의 결속은 구매업체의 관계성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Abstract
This study is focusing on foreign trade of petrochemical products in China, and it tries to understand how different control mechanisms influence the commitment through the verification on the control mechanisms used by the vendor in distribution channel and the commitment of buyers towards their vendors. This study takes the dimension of the commitment as mediator and the main purpose of the study is to know what the effective control mechanism is in order to maintain long-term cooperative relationship and increase mutual performance between channel members in Chinese market by analyzing the influence towards performance. For this empirical study surveying the author selected 312 samples of Chinese buyers who are still importing petrochemical products and have already done business with foreign vendors for more than 3 months. As the result, the level of control mechanisms like Incentive, Favors used by suppliers do strengthen commitment of buyers towards suppliers, but the surveillance, one of the control mechanisms used by suppliers, has no influence on the commitment of buyers towards suppliers. In addition, the dimension of commitment of buyers towards suppliers has positive effects on the performance of buyers.
