A Probe Study on Global Cross-Border B2C e-Commerce

Global Cross-Border B2C e-Commerce has been growing steadily and exporting consumer goods using on-line to consumer in neighboring country. International trade has been centered on B2B between overseas buyers and Korean firms so far. It was a deal that has a long and complex process through contacting buyers with difficulty, sending inquiry for suggesting buying, dispatching sample, shipping and payment process. However, it has been simplified and more easier by online shopping malls which is available 24 hours access, using simple payment method, delivery system. To boost global Cross-Border B2C e-Commerce steadily, we need direct intensified sale strategies, upgraded services for overseas consumers' convenience and development of general inexpensive merchandise of which quality is evaluated by overseas consumers. The purpose of this study is to help SMEs reinforce export competitiveness through Cross-Border e-Commerce and government make a policy to boost it using results of e-Bay, Amazon, Taobao, Rakuten and etc.
