사고디자인을 위한 개념의 구조화 기준 연구

인간에게 가치를 제공하는 방안모색과 구현이라는 디자인의 궁극 목적을 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 개념화 단계에서의 최종 결과물의 성격 규명과 그 것을 위한 앞으로의 방향 설정은 중요한 출발이다. 그러한 역할을 올바로, 그리고 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 디자이너 스스로 사고를 디자인하여 구조화하는 능력이 필요하다. 디자이너에게 필요한 사고는 합리적 사고와 창의적 사고의 결합이다. 합리적 사고를 위해서는 메타인지를 활성화 시켜 보유 지식과 자산의 정도를 파악하여 그에 따른 향후 전략을 효과적으로 세울 수 있도록 한다. 디자인에서의 창의적 사고는 합리성을 바탕으로 한 구현 가능한 창의성이어야 한다. 현실적이면서도 기존의 방식과 다른, 새로운 각도에 의한 접근이 필요하며 다른 영역과의 연결로부터 창의적 실마리를 찾을 수 있다. 따라서 합리적이면서 창의적 사고를 동시에 얻는 것은 각각이 분리된 진행이 아닌 어떠한 개념에 대한 속성의 이해를 최대한 확장하여 그 개념이 외부 영역과 맞닥뜨려있는 곳을 통해 외부 영역과의 연결성을 확보하는 것으로 실현할 수 있다. 이와 같은 사고를 주체적으로 수행하기 위해 개념의 구조화 연구를 진행하였다. 개념의 구조화는 개념을 구조적으로 디자인하는 것으로, 사안에 대한 개념의 속성을 충분히 이해하기 위하여 중심어와 연관된 성격의 개념을 함께 활성화 시키는 작업이다. 각 성격을 나타내는 일곱 개의 선을 뻗쳐 그 끝에 해당 개념을 위치시킨다. 그리고 이와 같은 작업을 반복하여 방사형 트리구조를 만들게 된다. 개념의 구조화를 통해 사고 디자인을 함에 있어 효과적 결과를 얻기 위해 갖춤, 방향, 전개, 확장, 흡수라는 기준을 연구하였다.
Abstract
To accomplish the ultimate purpose of design which is to find ways to provide value and bring it to reality in effective ways, it is an important start to identify the property of the output and set directions for it. In order to carry out the task successfully and effectively, designers must be able to design and structure their thinking. The aspects of thinking that designers are required is the combination of rational and creative thinking. For a rational thinking, activating metacognition and examining the scope of resource of information to plan the next step is needed. For creative thinking, the creativity has to be made basing on rationality. Solutions have to be different and realistic with a new approach. This could be conducted by making connections with elements from different fields. So, rational and creative thinking can be done simultaneously through widening the understanding about an idea and finding connections with outlying areas. To actively carry out such thinking, Concept Structuring was studied. Concept Structuring is a method to structurely map out about a certain concept through activating every relating ideas about the keyword to get a wide understanding about the matter. Seven lines that symbolize relevant characteristics are stretched out from the center keyword and the corresponding ideas are placed. This repeating process makes a radial tree form. Under few conditions, Concept Structuring can provide better results that are adoption, direction, steps, fairness and incorporating.
