This article aimed at developing the energysaving system design methodology that can applyeffectively, as developing and verifying the adequateenergy-saving system service design that userrequires, applying the issue of energy-saving formaximizing the energy efficiency potential in termsof design. While it presented the basic modeling of energysaving service design through literatureinvestigation as contents of research, conducting theinvestigation of user of energy and the analysisusing survey and FGI as method of study. Moreover, this paper took a concrete form of theservice design methodology for energy-saving andsuggested, as verifying the design modeling throughdeveloping the energy saving system service designby the service design process. First, it verified the utility and need to apply theservice design to the energy saving system, asconducting the basic modeling, studying the case ofenergy-saving through domestic and foreign servicedesign and the service design process that globaladvanced enterprises are using. With this, it suggested the necessity to develop theservice design that motivates to continue accessingthe service design and using the service that cansupply and share information of energy-saving actthat will work. Second, it conducted user investigation throughinterviewing on energy users, supplies and expertgroup and developed the energy saving systemservice design and suggested, which can supplydetailed energy monitoring, consumption andmanagement through an empirical study. Third, as verifying the service design model, itdeveloped the suitable service design methodologyfor the service design process for saving energy tofit domestic situation based on it. While this studyverified reduction efficiency on energy consumersthrough the energy saving apartment managementexpense bill program that was conducted by theKorea Energy Management Corporation, theefficiency on the service design developer wasverified by group-interview-in-depth for 30designers.
