체계적인 디자인컨설팅을 위한 디자인개발 목적 모형

Recently, various design processes have been developed by the invigoration of design industry and the diversification of methods for design development. However, it's still difficult to perform successful management of design development project by not adapting appropriate design development process fulfilling various goals of design development. With the perspective of design firms, it is necessary to suggest logical tool clarifying the goals and purposes of design development to perform strategic design consulting for clients. In order to develop the classification model for goals of design development which can be applied in design development practice, this study first extracted keywords of design development goals by reviewing past researches and case studies of design firms, Then conducted homogeneity analysis with design professionals to categorize them in to similar types. This study results shows that there could be 4 categories for the purposes of design development and 4 different design processes can be used in each category. We suggest that the classification model of design development goals with appropriate processes according to each category can be used in strategic design consulting and leads to successful design consulting by reducing the time for design development and performing effective management for design development process.
