소비자안전확보를 위한 정부의 소비자안전정보 정책의 효율성 제고 방향- 소비자의 안전정보행동과 외국의 안전정보시스템 고찰을 중심으로 -

This study reviewed consumer safety, accurate definition and characteristics of consumer safety information, consumer awareness and behavior for safety, safety information system and communication, and consumer information behavior. In addition, it was suggested about government’s direction for effective consumer information policy after reviewing and benchmarking for developed country’s safety information system and information policy. The major performances of this study were below. The first, it is necessary to have accurate definition for consumer safety, consumer awareness and active behavior for safety, government’s effective safety policy to obtain consumer safety. Consumers have to utilize safety information effectively resulting in high competence of safety information behavior, government have to develop the program increasing consumers’ competence of safety information behavior for supporting it. Second, government’s consumer safety policy have to changed to safety information policy, effective consumer safety information policy focusing on preventing consumer safety accident. Third, consumer safety information policy is necessary that safety information provided from firms and government delivered to consumers fast and accurately to decrease risk of hazard and obtain consumer safety finally. Finally, it is necessary to have variate channel for searching and analyzing safety information, strengthen safety and hazard information communication system including deliberation safety information to consumers, establishing and operating consumer-oriented safety information system, making ideas for enlarging consumer participation for consumer information policy, strengthen advertisement and education for safety information system to consumers, and safety information policy for social class who is isolated from safety information.
