지역사회 최고지도자 양성교육에서의 시민학습활동의 평생교육적 의미 탐색 -남양주市를 중심으로-

The purpose of this study is to find the lifelong educational meaning and how learning activities of people who are aiming to be a leader of a local community have proceeded through an illustration of Namyangju, a lifelong education city. A qualitative research was conducted to 5 people who have successfully finished the course and are actively participating in the graduate student association. The research was taken to explore motivation, learning activities, and the changes they experienced after learning by thoroughly interviewing the subjects. The first finding is that their motivations for taking education course is activity-oriented, which is one of the participation reasons that Houle mentioned. The second finding is that they had strong emotional attachment and satisfaction toward their local community and this often acted as a source of enthusiasm and energy. They voluntarily took the initiatives in making community stronger and sustainable. The last finding is that it is one of civic leader's competency program and citizen participatory education among the six legal life long education fields. People who were previously did not find a chance to show their talent found their place through lifelong education and became the leader and contributed to community and society. Therefore, there should be expansion of lifelong education through coordination with local communities and universities. Also, the role of citizen participatory education which is to make people solve problems on their own should be more enhanced. Lastly, continuing education refresher training and post management with the aid of community for reinforcing solidarity and bond among the students.
