Searching Competency Determinants for Developing Lifelong Education Leadership Based on Holistic Education

본 연구는 인간이 인간답게 살아갈 수 있는 긍정적 자아관을 형성하게 하는 홀리스틱 교육 이론에 대해 모색해 보고, 홀리스틱 교육 관점에서 평생교육 리더십에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 리더십 역량요인에 대해 탐색한 후, 그 결과를 통해 시대적 흐름에 걸맞은 평생교육 리더십 개발을 위한 역량요인을 탐색하는 것이 연구의 목적이었다. 본 연구의 목적을 효과적으로 달성하기 위한 연구문제는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 홀리스 틱 교육과 평생교육 리더십 역량에 대한 개념과 의미는 무엇인가? 둘째, 홀리스틱 교육의 인간학적 의의는 무엇인가? 셋째, 홀리스틱 교육의 의의의 관점에서 본, 평생교육 리더십의 역량에는 어떤 관계가 있는가? 이 세 가지 연구문제를 가지고 탐색해 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 도출되었다. 첫째, 홀리스틱 교육은 인간을 전인적(全人的) 존재로 만들어 가는 것을 목표로 하여, 인간의 삶의 질적 향상에 기여하고자 하는 평생교육의 목표와 맥을 같이 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 홀리스틱 교육 과정을 통한 ‘전체적·통합적 사고 기술’은 리더십 역량을 강화시킬 수 있는 중요한 새로운 변인으로 인식되어야 한다는 것이다. 셋째, 홀리스틱 교육이, Knowles의 안드라고지(Knowles et al., 2010)의 여섯 가지 가정 모델을 기초하여, 성인교육 리더들에게 시대상황에 걸맞은 신선한 리더십을 발휘할 수 있는 학문적 근거를 제시하고 있다는 것이다.
Abstract
This study scoped out theories of holistic education for human beings to help make a positive self-concept so as to live like a decent person and searched leadership competency factors affecting lifelong education leadership from a viewpoint of holistic education. And then, from these preceding results, the ultimate purpose of this study was to seek for competency determinants for developing lifelong education leadership worthy of current trends. Research problems for accomplishing the purpose of this study with great effect were as follows; first, what are the concepts and meanings of holistic education and lifelong education leadership? Second, what are the anthropological significances of holistic education? Third, are there relations with competencies of lifelong education Leadership from perspectives of significancies of holistic education? Results of this study searched and discussed from these three research problems were drawn as follows. First, holistic education has placed its aim on becoming whole human beings as perfect ones and shared its line with the aim of Lifelong Education intending to contribute to improving qualities of human living. Second, through educational courses of holistic education 'overall integrated thinking skills' should be recognized as new, significant variables capable of reinforcing leadership competencies. Third, holistic education has suggested an academic grounding in exercising the new, fresh leadership well-matched situations of the modern age for adult education leaders, based on six models of assumptions of Knowles' andragogy (Knowles et al., 2010).
