이혼소송 피고 중년여성의 심리적 경험 연구

The purpose of this study is searching the essence and significance of experiences held by a middle aged woman judicial divorce proceedings the defendant. Series of intensive interview sessions were held with 7 middle aged women in their 40s and 50s who were demanded of divorce suit at the △△ Branch Court of □□ District Court. The collected information was qualitatively analyzed by the phenomenology study method of Colaizzi. The result of the study is as following. First, the psychological experience of a middle aged woman who was demanded of a divorce suit was found to be dedicated endurance to guard her home with her life; even her marriage life was very difficult due to the troublesome husband. Second, the middle aged women who were demanded of divorce suit received big shock when they were given the unilateral demand of divorce from the husbands which was like a bolt out of the blue. The women felt emotional confusions such as very severe sense of betrayal, injustice and anger. Third, the divorce suit process is a lonely struggle toward legal truth for the suit participants. The middle aged women who were demanded of divorce suit experience desperate wish to win the suit, deep sense of humiliation during the long court debate and desperateness like all things in life are falling down. Fourth, the middle aged women who were demanded of divorce suit had negative foresight on the result of divorce suit such as fear on being branded as a sinner after the divorce suit, concern on the children after divorce and anxiety on living alone after the divorce. Fifth, the middle aged women who were demanded of divorce suit have regret on their past lives and lingering feeling on the husband; however, they try to adapt to new life while pursuing the meaning of new life after divorce. This study gave discussion and suggestion on the matter based on above study results.
