밀양 송전탑 주민 및 현대자동차 비정규직 노동자의 희생과 연대를 통한 정의로운 지속가능성의 지향

This paper deals with the case of collaboration between residents’ environmentalmovement and labor movement both oriented for Just Sustainability(JS) with respect to the concepts of sacrifice and solidarity. In relation tothe analytical framework of procedural, cognitive, productive environmentaljustice as elements of JS, it tries to clarify the realization of JS by the sacrifice andthe solidarity of residents in Transmission Tower Site ‘Miryang City’ andirregular workers of ‘Hyundai Motor Company(HMC)’. It is found that residentsof Miryang and workers of HMC could communicate and cooperate at the levelof productive justice, even though they had approached to the justice ofdistribution and procedure, separately. The reason for this paper’s choice of JSrather than the environmental justice as an analytical framework can be said thatthe former would facilitate the conceptual connection with the sustainableeconomy and the pursuit of networking with other social actions in advance,while the latter had restricted implications due to focusing only on the defensiveand ex post facto confrontation. In conclusion, it is needed that the movementsof post-nuke and climate change prevention should comprise the economic issuesof the work and welfare, and that residents’ environmental movements in searchfor the environmental justice should cooperate with women and the youth etc aswell as irregular workers.
