자원공유의 결정요인: 관련성, 경쟁전략, 자원유연성 중심의 논의의 통합

The theories on resource sharing in diversification research focus on inter-SBU relatedness, competitive strategy, and resource flexibility. Despite a possibility of theoretical conflicts, an integrative and cooperative discussion is required due to much more chances to supplement or complement logical weaknesses from other theories. This study verifies the efficacy of each of the theories of resource sharing. by exploring the effects of relatedness, competitive strategy, resource flexibility on resource sharing and attempts to integrate theories by analyzing the interaction effects between the determinants. The empirical results that relatedness affects resource sharing, but competitive and resource flexibility does not lead us to a conclusion that the theory of relatedness is more efficacious than the other two theories. We find a possibility of reciprocal logical complementation between theories in the analyses of combination effects showing that an interaction of relatedness and competitive strategy, an interaction of competitive strategy and resource flexibility, and an interaction of resource flexibility and relatedness affect resource sharing. The fact that competitive strategy and resource flexibility have no sole effect on resource sharing, but have meaningful effects when they are combined with other variables implies that their influences operate in certain circumstances. The contribution of the study is to integrate the three different theories of resource sharing and to compare the theories in a complementary, not a contradictory aspect.
