한국디자인계의 디자인 연구 발전과정 및 현황 분석 연구

The design in Korea was started to be studied as an academic system since the 1990s, the system of the design study was established with its professionalism, while being seperated independently from the practice. As a present status over 20 years of history, the design in Korea has becomes required with the checking of the reality based on the accurate quantitative statistics for the reality of the present design study in order for the development and take-off of Korea design academy. In the white paper of The Korea Crafts & Design Foundation under The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, the researcher has performed the appropriate study with participation of the study, and prepared the study paper based on the quantitative data of the study. The researcher proceeded to study the design with classification of design academic study, design academic activities, and design publication activities. Design academic study was researched seperately from the academic society, and research institute which was classified into the university, and research center. Design academic activities was progressed with the separation of the overseas and domestic activities by legend for the activities such as the seminar, forum, symposium, and special lectures hosted in the University, Public institute, Profit/non-Profit institute private research center, other than the academic conferences held in the year of 2013. Design publication activity was studied by collecting the individual books with reference to the design. As a result of analysis, the study of the Korea design was rapidly and gradually developed in the quality and diversity, and it becomes the time that the academic climate and foundation of the study was entirely established, and the category of service and other factors has been shown to be developed and the image area was completely confirmed as a strong trend.
