3D Printing Service would be the key drivers to change the manufacturing practice. Especially 3D Printing digital intellectual property is the core business competency in 3D printing service business. As we know, these IP produce the new value and companies have prepared a variety of programs for effective response to the changes. In particular, 3D printing digital files have a lot of problems to operate the service. It contains the information of product shape & functions. Furthermore it has the production information which is means that the companies have to solve the commercial model between product and service. In this article, IP distribution service model would be very depend on Fresh IP strategy. Fresh IP makes the digital file, modify and protect to encourage the IP service. This is the potential for various issues such as 3D file coping, modifying and commercing service model and this article suggest the service business architecture. Service business player would be categorized by 4 different types which are. IP Owners, IP Holders, IP Platform and Merchandiser. 3D Printing Digital IPs suggest new value proposition and service flow. And this article explain the field cases on 3D printing IP distribution service model such as Shapeways of 3Dsystems, Thingivers of Stratasys and so on. It would support the various service model and help to understand the service practice in 3D printing business.
