아시아 주요국의 퇴직연금 현황과 시사점
The Status and Implication of Retirement Pension Plans for Major Asian Countries

South Korea has already entered the aging society, estimates that there will be a super-aged society over 60 years old population ratio of 20.8% in 2026. Developed countries and Asian countries has faced a similar problems for the aging society. The population over 60 years old, which was 6% in 1960, have increased by over 10% in 2013. As part of the measures for this problem, South Korea has already been nine years since the introduction of the retirement pension plan. But, still retirement pension plan, which the weight of the DB is enlarging and most of the assets is invested in principal-guaranteed products, do not serve as a proper retirement scheme. We can find out that there are many difference between South Korea and Major Asian Countries through comparative analysis on retirement pension plan system, history, type and operating status. This study will be presented the improvement in retirement pension plan. The finding in this paper indicate that it is necessary that introduction of mandatory retirement pension system, Minimum Sum and CPF Life plan in Singapore, establishing well diversified investment culture, changing pension provision age from 55 years old to 60 years old is necessary to consider.
