적정기술에 활용하는 디자인 교육 시스템 기초 연구

초록
적정기술은 사람을 중심에 두는 가치 지향적 기술이지만 과학기술에 의한 공학적인 특성이 강하였다. 그러나 기술적 관점의 용어를 대중적이고 친화적인 사회책임의 디자인 관점으로 재해석함으로써 디자인의 중요성을 보여주었다. 적정기술이 지속가능한 사회실천 운동으로 확산이 되려면 기술과 디자인이 융합된 교육프로그램을 체계화 하는 것이 우선 되어야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점에서 적정기술의 교육 현황 조사를 토대로 기술교육, 디자인교육, 지역성을 고려한 교육, 경제학교육의 필요성을 인지하였다. 연구의 본론은 대학에서 적정기술 교육을 학생들에게 제공하여 사회혁신 프로젝트나 봉사 프로그램을 실천하는데 있어 필요한 요인과 교육시스템을 체계화 하였다. 또한 현지에 적용 가능한 제품을 개발하기 위해서는 다양한 학문과 융합된 적정기술 교육 프로그램을 운영한다면 국내․외에서 고민하는 빈곤과 사회적 문제를 해결할 수 있는 인프라 조성과 실천운동의 구심점이 될 것이다. 마지막으로 이러한 적정기술 교육의 기초적 교육 시스템을 체계화시켜 이를 통해 사회적 기업가 등 글로벌한 인재를 양성한다면 가치 실현이 사람 중심의 문제 해결로 실천 가능하다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Appropriate technology is a value-oriented technology that puts humans on the center, but has strong engineering characteristics attributed to scientific technology. However, the importance of design was found by reinterpreting the term created from the technical perspective from the popular, eco-friendly, and social responsible design perspective. Systemizing the educational programs that have the combined technology and design must be prioritized for appropriate technology to be spread as sustainable social practice movement. From this perspective, this study recognized the necessity of technical education, design education, education considering regional characteristics, and economics education based on the investigated current status of appropriate technology education. The body of this study systemizes necessary factors and educational system so that universities can provide students with appropriate technology education and promote social innovation projects and volunteering programs. Furthermore, in order to develop products that are available locally, the operation of appropriate technology education programs combined with various disciplines will play a pivotal role in creating infrastructure to solve poverty and social problems internally and externally and practising movement. In conclusion, if systemizing a basic educational system for such an appropriate technology education and based on this, fostering global taletns such as social worker, value realization will be materialized in the form of human-centered problem solving.
