Korea is the land still divided into south and north. However, most of the people therein expected their unified fatherland some day. We all admitt that the reunification of Korea can be facilitated if prepared even before no symptoms are visible. Without proper preparations South Korea would face unheard economic, political and social challenges. The examination of possible future legal institutes and the education thereof are the minimum for us preparing the unified Korea. So far mostly the constitutional questions about the best regulation on basic human rights and governmental structure have been dealt with profoundly. The research on the best code on civil relationships has been in contrast ignored. But the shaping of the legal status of the southern and northern inhabitants and the acknowledgement of civil rights and duties, especially the ownership, of them would be fatal for the forthcoming era after the reunification of two Koreas. Among the urgent subjects this article focuses specially on the law of inheritance which should be contained in the unified Korean Civil Code. Furthermore this article examines the adequate conditions for the education for the inhabitants of both Koreas, for besides refining of the legal framework for a possible unified Korea, the people of both Koreas ought to know its present as well as future legal system.
