유아 교육용 콘텐츠 GUI디자인이 유저(User)에게 미치는 영향 - 콘텐츠 GUI디자인 중심으로 -

본 연구에는 스마트 시대인 오늘날 사용자가 지속적으로 증가하는 유아교육 콘텐츠의 GUI(Graphic User Interface)디자인이 사용자에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지 문헌조사와 설문조사를 통하여 사용자의 GUI디자인에 대한 반응을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 현재 유아 부모들이 사용하는 인기 교육 콘텐츠 핑크퐁, 뽀로로 동요다, 다음 키즈짱, 주니어 네이버, 총 4가지종류 어플리케이션을 선정하여 콘텐츠의 GUI디자인을 분석하여 심도있게 GUI디자인이 유저 사용성에 미치는 영향을 연구했다. GUI디자인의 조형요소를 중심으로 전문가의 분석과 사용자 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결과를 요약하면, 콘텐츠의 내용은 배제하고 GUI디자인의 조형성 중심으로 설문조사를 한 결과 총 25점 만점에 뽀로로 22점으로 1위, 주니어 네이버 18점으로 2위를 했다. 그리고 다음 키즈짱과 핑크퐁은 각각 16점 13점으로 3위 4위를 하였다. 평균적으로 뽀로로가 레이아웃이 깔끔해서 보기 편하다고 응답했으며, 버튼과 아이콘이 커서 작동이 편하고 쉽게 이해할 수 있다고 응답했다. 반면 제일 낮은 순위를 차지한 핑크퐁은 노래 재생 조작 버튼이 5개로 복잡하다고 응답했으며, 글자가 작아 보기 불편하다고 응답하였다. 이번 문헌조사와 설문조사를 통하여, 유아용 교육콘텐츠를 사용하는 부모들 대부분이 무의식적으로 GUI디자인에 영향을 받고 있음을 알게 되었다. 현재연구에 선정된 콘텐츠는 인지도 있는 캐릭터 혹은 사이트를 바탕으로 제작 되었기에 동등한 조건이며, 결과적으로 캐릭터의 인지도 보다 GUI디자인에 의해 선택이 좌우됨을 설문조사를 통해 입증하였다. 이 결과를 통해 앞으로 우리는 GUI디자인의 필요성과 중요성을 알게 되었다. 이같은 결과는 앞으로 GUI디자인에 대한 중요성과 콘텐츠 선정에 있어 긍정적으로 작용함을 밝혀낸 것에 의의가 있다. 앞으로 우리는 아름다움과 편리성을 고루 갖춘 GUI디자인이 더 만들어지길 기대해본다.
Abstract
This study researched the user’s response to GUI design through the literature survey and questionnaire survey on how infant education contents GUI (Graphic User Interface) designs have an impact on increasing users of them in the smart era. For such purpose, this study selected 4 types of famous education applications, such as Pinkpong, Ppororo Children Sing Da, Daum Kids JJang, and Junior Naver, which are the most commonly used by parents of infants, and researched the impact on GUI design on the user usability through more in-depth analysis of GUI design of contents. This study conducted expert analysis focusing on the formation elements of GUI design, and conducted the questionnaire survey focusing on users. To summarize the results of the study, the result of the survey focusing on the formativeness of GUI design excluding the details of contents showed that’s Pproro took first place with 22 points out of 25 points, Junior Naver took second place with 18 points, Daum Kids Jjang took third place with 16 points and Pinkpong took fourth place with 13 points, At average, users responded that Ppororo has the clean layout easy on the eyes and has large buttons and icons for easy operation. On the other hand, users responded that Pinkpong, whose ranking is lowest, is complex due to its 5 operation buttons for playing songs and is also inconvenient due to its small texts. Through the literature survey and the questionnaire survey, this study showed that most of patents using infant education contents have been unconsciously affected by GUI design. The contents selected for this study have the same conditions because they have been manufactured based on famous characters or sites, and so consequently, this questionnaire survey proved that the selection of contents is more influenced by GUI design than the level of awareness of characters. The results of this study have the implications that it has identified the importance of GUI design and its positive impact on the selection of contents. it is expected that more GUI designs having both beauty and convenience can be made in the future.
