거래적 리더십과 절차 공정성 : 전·의경 대원에 대한 인식 조사

Recently, there have been concerns about violence in the Korean military system, and the policymakers have tried to prevent those behaviors and to improve the organizational culture. As the Korea auxiliary police system is similar to the military system, the police organization has had those problematic behaviors among the members. The Korean National Police Agency has developed a number of efforts to make changes in the culture among the members, especially in order to resolve the conflict due to the rank. The prior studies have found the significant influence of the leadership style on the military culture. This study investigated the relationship between the transactional leadership(connected compensation, proactive/reactive management by exception) and the perception of procedural justice by the auxiliary police officers about the violence incidents. The survey results of police officers indicated that the connected compensation and reactive management by exception had a significant impact on the perception of procedural justice. As the supervisors encourage the direction and compensation towards the subordinates, the respondents showed a higher level of the perception about the procedural justice. In order for an effective leadership, the supervisors need to improve the communication with their subordinates so that the trust will be developed better.
