한일 모어화자의 언어행동에 대한 일고찰 - 개인정보요구에 나타난 의미공식과 발화패턴을 중심으로 -

In relation to the thesis, I have conducted surveys with interview in Seoul and Tokyo to analyze the differences in sociocultural norms with regard to personal information request in Korea and Japan. To be specific, setting up situations in which a student exchange with a professor questions and answers about his or her personal information, in colleges of Korea and Japan, and to figure out the practice and background, I have used sociolinguistic methods to conduct analysis and scrutiny of the following linguistic phenomena. the results of the analysis of the frequency and utterance of semantic formulas that appear in speech related to ‘personal information request’ by mother-tongue speakers in Korea and Japan. Speakers of Korean as mother tongue show similar patterns in ‘addressing’ and ‘explanatory rationale’, which seems to suggest linguistic management in which ‘addressing’ expresses hospitality and ‘explanatory rationale’ convinces a partner through logical explanation. Further, it has been known that speakers of Japanese frequently use ‘acknowledgement’ and ‘apology’, matching the results of earlier studies on erstwhile linguistic behaviors of Japanese people Furthermore, speakers of Korean respectively as mother tongue employ ‘interpersonal strategy + goal-fulfilling strategy’ through ‘opening + questioning’ pattern, while speakers of Japanese as mother tongue employ ‘interpersonal strategy + goal-fulfilling strategy + speech closing strategy’ through ‘opening + questioning + closing’ and ‘questioning + closing’ patterns. Especially, ‘speech closing strategy’ employing ‘acknowledgement’ and ‘apology’ is considered a linguistic behavior peculiar to Japanese people.
