크리스천의 맹신적 신앙에 관한 연구

초록
기독교신앙은 맹신이나 미신과는 아주 거리가 먼 것임에도 불구하고 맹신적 신앙생활을 하는 많은 크리스천들이 있다. 이러한 현상은 우리나라의 문화적 배경과 맥락을 같이한다. 선교 초기의 높은 문맹률, 유교사상과 혼합된 샤마니즘, 6.25전쟁, 산업화 등의 복잡한 환경이 맹신적 신앙 형성에 일조하였다. 본 연구는 이런 상황 하에 있는 크리스천들의 맹신적 신앙 양태를 조명하고, 그 원인과 대안을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기존의 연구 내용들을 근간으로 하여, 맹신적 신앙 현상들에 대해 정리하였다. 그 다음 맹신의 원인과 해결 대책을 제시하였다. 신앙생활의 맹신적 현상들을 다음과 같이 정리하였다: 영적체험에 대한 맹신, 천국에 대한 맹신, 봉사에 대한 맹신, 설교에 대한 맹신, 목사에 대한 맹신, 종교중독. 그리고 맹신의 발생 원인과 해소 대책을 성경적 관점에서 살펴보았다. 첫째, 강박성이며, 이를 해결하는 방안으로 ‘가만히 서서 보라’는 성경말씀을 대안으로 제시하였다. 둘째, 목표지향성이다. 성도의 목표는 예수님의 제자가 되는 것이다. 이 과정에는 여러 단계가 있음에도 불구하고, 교회는 궁극적 목표를 강조하여 교인들을 좌절 또는 맹신으로 몰고 간다는 것이다. 이 문제 해결책으로 성화의 노력을 경주하는 방안을 제시하였다. 셋째, 모호한 예배 행위 강요이다. ‘예배의 성공’이란 모호한 내용을 교인들에게 강요함으로써 교인들이 예배 행위에 대해 맹신적인 시각을 가지게 된다는 것이다. 이를 극복하기 위해 진실한 예배를 드리는 것을 대책으로 제안하였다. 끝으로, 태생적인 무속성이다. 하나님 아닌 다른 무엇으로 채우려는 무속성을 해결하기 위해서는 말씀과 기도를 대안으로 제안하였다. 이와 함께 교인들의 균형 잡힌 신앙생활을 위하여 거시적으로는 교리교육 강화, 목회자 재교육 프로그램의 도입, 성경강해 설교 강화 등을 논의하였고, 거시적으로는 분야별 전문목회자를 양성하여 공동목회 시스템을 구축하는 것도 함께 논의하였다.
Abstract
Korea was a barren land to blossom Gospel in the early mission era. High illiteracy rate and Shamanism mixed with Confucian ideas made Christian faith distorted. And experiencing Korean civil war, industrialization, and democratization, people sought Christian faith to solve basic needs and complex problems in life. Under these conditions, non- biblical faith aspects began to root into Korean church as blind customs. Under these backgrounds, the article aimed at seeking blind faith in Korea church and suggesting causes of blind faith and alternatives to overcome them. To achieve this purpose, we summarized the phenomenon of blind faith through literature review and suggested its causes and alternatives to solve these problems. The aspects of blind faith are summarized as follow: Blind faith on spiritual experience, blind faith on God’s kingdom, blind faith on services, blind faith on sermon, blind faith on pastors, and religious addiction. Next, we reviewed the causes and alternatives of blind faith on the biblical prospective. First, obsessive personality was cause of blind faith. The alternative to overcome it was “Stand firm and you will see.” Second, The cause of blind faith was goal orientation. Though there are several stages to accomplish this goal, church emphasized ultimate goal and drove Christians to be discouraged or to be blinded believers. To solve this, we suggested bible verse, “to continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” Third, the cause of blind faith was to emphasize ambiguous worship. There could not be the word of success in human beings under God’s sovereignty. The alternative to solve this problem was to worship honestly to God. Because God pleases broken and contrite heart and waits for a long time to come to him. Last one was shamanism-to fill one’s heart with something not God. To solve this, the word of God and prayer was suggested as alternative.
