한국 휴전협정 및 평화협정의 당사자문제

Since the Korean War in the 1950’s, the state of national security in the Korean Peninsula is still high in tension following the signing of the armistice agreement. Therefore, we should make ceaseless effort to overcome such situation that is the intermediate state between war and peace. The pending issue in the Korean peninsula is that we should change unstable ceasefire state to permanent peaceful one, and also in order to end the war and unify the Korean peninsula, the armistice agreement and the peace treaty issues must take priority in making our decision. It would be helpful if we can dissect the main issues that led to the Korean War and ultimately the armistice agreement. Discussion about the peace agreement, which will be a useful tool for the future unification, would be a significant effort in overcoming present problems. As parties directly concerned about the Korean Peninsula and as a standard peaceful nation, we will be able to approach peace regime on the Korean Peninsula more closely with wide support of international society through displaying our capability.
