일반화추정방정식을 이용한 경험표집법에 의한 몰입과 행복분석

본 연구는 성인남녀 107명(남 44, 여 63)을 대상으로 자연스러운 일상경험을 하루에 6번, 총 7일간 수집하여, 일상 중에 언제 더 몰입하고 행복한지, 특별하지 않은 일상적인 활동을 통한 몰입경험은 행복에 영향을 미치는지, 인구통계학적 변수들(성별, 연령, 결혼유무, 직종)과 심리적 변수들(자율성, 몰입, 성취감, 의미, 타인행복) 중 어느 변수가 행복에 영향을 미치는지를 경험표집법(ESM)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 연구 참여자들은 오전과 오후보다는 저녁에, 주중보다는 주말에 몰입과 행복수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각 개인 참여자가 여러 시점에 반복적으로 응답한 자료가 갖는 상관성을 고려하는 분석방법으로 일반화추정방정식(GEE)을 이용하였으며, 분석결과 인구통계학적 변수는 행복에 영향을 미치지 않았고, 심리적 변수들 중 성취감을 제외한 모든 변수가 행복에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 여가와 같은 특별한 활동이 아닌 일상적인 활동을 통한 몰입경험도 행복에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 실시간적 측정방식에서도 배경변인보다 심리적 요인에 의해 행복이 더 잘 설명될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Data comes from a crossover study in which each subject responds six times a day for one week, and the response are the daily life experience. The purpose of this study is to examine when they feel a stronger sense of flow and happiness, how their daily flow affects their happiness and how happiness is affected by demographic variables (gender, age, marital status and the type of occupation) and by psychological variables (autonomy, flow, achievement, meaning and happiness of others). The findings of the study are as follows. The levels of flow and happiness are the highest in the evening and on weekends. The results of GEE analysis indicate that the demographic variables do not exert any significant influence on happiness and that the psychological variables affect it in a significant way except for the variable of achievement. The findings confirm that the flow through not only special moments like leisure activities, but through daily routine exercise affect a positive influence on happiness, and it's also ascertained that the psychological factors have more significant effect on happiness than the background variables when a real-time measurement method is utilized.
