호텔기업의 정보화 수준이 조직성과에 미치는 영향: 서울소재 특급 호텔을 중심으로

This study set out to identify factors with which to diagnose and understand the informatization levels of hotel companies clearly and investigate their significant influences on actual organizational performance at a time when the need for, and utilization of, informatization were rising in hotel companies. Data were collected from previous and empirical studies on informatization. For empirical research, the investigator conducted a survey with 288 employees using the hotel information system (HIS) who work five years or longer at 24 deluxe hotels in Seoul. A total of 221 questionnaires were used in empirical analyses. The results of Hypothesis 1 show that four of the informatization level factors (i.e., establishing information technology, sharing information knowledge, creating information knowledge, and participating in information education) had significant positive(+) effects on organizational performance, with the establishment of information technology having the most significant impacts. Unlike previous studies that measured the informatization levels of hotel companies only in the technological aspect, the present study proposed the directionality that their informatization levels should be measured by taking their organizational and human resource aspects into account, thus making a contribution to the importance of informatization of hotel companies. Future study needs to apply the measurement framework of informatization level proposed in the study to actual organizations and test it to increase the degree of its completion.
