Influence of Supporting activities of the Promotion Project for Social Entrepreneurs on Performance of Social Enterprise: Focusing on Promotion Project for Social Entrepreneurs such as Youth

This study analyzed the influential factors on the performance of 「the promotion project for social entrepreneurs such as youth in 2011」, which was driven for the purpose of creating jobs for younger generation and vitalizing social enterprises. The promotion project for social entrepreneurs such as youth provided supporting activities(education, founding space, management activity of agents, mentoring, resource excavation and connection) for totally 312 founding teams through totally 21 agents. This study analyzed influence of these supporting activities upon the performance of the promotion project(social performance, economic performance). To achieve the objective of this study, it considered documents and arranged prior researches in the theoretical background and empirically analyzed the correlation between the promotion project for social entrepreneurs such as youth and the performance using analytical method of Spearman rank correlation based on the performance analysis data and the field monitoring data of the agents and founding teams. Summarizing the results of this study, they are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the project items of the founding teams, which participated in social entrepreneurs such as youth, the project items were excavated in the more diverse fields than the existing social enterprises project fields, such as educational culture, cultural art, environmental green energy, information communication, and social welfare field. Second, the analysis of social performance showed that the management activity of agents was indicated to have influence upon social performance. Education, founding space, resource excavation and connection, and mentoring activity were indicated to have no significant influence. Third, the analysis of economic performance showed that the supporting activity of the resource excavation and connection was indicated to have significant influence upon economic performance. Education or founding space, management activity, and mentoring activity as others were indicated to have no significant influence. Fourth, the educational activity, mentoring, and founding space of agents were indicated to fail to have influence upon both social and economic performances.
