基督敎 牧會者와 敎人의 葛藤에 관한 考察 - 목포지역 교회를 중심으로 -

The goal of this research is to seek for what sorts of conflict between the christian pastor and believer is and what the cause of this conflict is. I hereafter was able to obtain the following result of research. The christian clergy undertake their duty by the vocation from God. For this reason they have to teach, train, and nurture the believers. That's why every matters must be understood and judged from the viewpoint of christian faith. In this way the christian pastors are obliged to feel the conflict in the relations with their congregation followed by their deep sense of responsibility to their ministry. When the lay believers don't live well the christian faith and follow the teaching of pastors, these would definitely affect the pastors' human relations to their church members. The believers tended to understand the pastors from the human standpoint when they looked to the pastors. According to the questionnaire survey over the lay's conflicts against their pastors, most of the high frequency felt by the lays is the conflict in human aspect. This fact shows that the believer's conflict to pastors was laid in human aspect although they lived as church members. Therefore we can realize that the human problem between the pastors and believers might affect lays' basic faith. In this way although the christian pastors and believers altogether took active roles in the objective of christian faith, the pastors and believers were obliged to experience conflict due to contrary aspiration for each other, because the pastors looked to the aspect of faith to the believers and the believers did to the human aspect to the pastors in return. Therefore the christian pastors should understand and judge the believers not only by the standpoint of faith but by considering the human standpoint, too. When these would be done, the device of "compromise and negotiation" and "subjugation by faith" which won the high position in the matter of device of conflict settlement presented by both the pastors and believers would be successfully applied. Through this research I was able to understand the extent of conflict between the pastors and believers under the religious circumstances and find the settlement device of conflict. Unfortunately I was also to feel the limitations mainly due to the shortage of data in the determination tools over the conflict between the christian pastors and believers and the shortage of precedent research into the concrete alternative and settlement device. Because the concrete study and data are lacked in this area at present. Meanwhile I was able to focus on the appearance of conflict which is felt by the christian pastors and believers in this study. In conclusion I hope the more concrete research into the measurement tools might be proceeded for the sake of synthetical understanding and settlement over the conflict between the christian pastors and believers.
