범죄예방을 위한 북한이탈주민의 법교육 수요 분석

This study is to analyse the needs for law-related education of the North Defectors(LENK), with a aim to their mastering the basic legal knowledge necessary for living in a democratic society and promoting their legal consciousness and attitudes. LENK intends to help North Korean defectors to overcome the differences in legal culture and emotion as well as legal knowledge arising from their past lives in North Korea, and thus preventing them against becoming offenders or victims for crimes in legally conflictual situations. In-depth interview for North Korean defectors aims for identifying their needs for the law-related education and examining their level of legal consciousness. In-depth interview was made to two groups: North Korean Youth Defectors (n = 11) and North Korean Adult Defectors (n = 20). This study finding is that norms related to economic system of capitalism, the their distorted legal consciousness caused by cultural distinctiveness of North Korean, underdeveloped legal consciousness by the dictatorship, and the experiences on human rights abuse are affect the crimes and victimization of North Korean. Thease factors all can be contents of law-related education programs of the North Korean Defectors.
