GIS교육에서 캡스톤 디자인에 관한 연구

융복합, 산학 협력을 강조하는 방향으로 국가 GIS 정책이 변화되면서, 우리나라 대학에서 GIS 교육은 기술 전문 교육에서 융복합 산학 협력 교육의 단계로 변화해야 한다. 이와 같은 배경에서 본 연구는 GIS 교육에서 융복합 산학 협력에 효과적인 캡스톤 디자인의 구성 방안을 탐색하였다. 먼저 대학 교육에서 캡스톤 디자인을 활성화하기 위해서 다음과 같은 전략이 필요하다. 첫째, 캡스톤 디자인을 지원하는 전담 기관 운영, 둘째, 캡스톤 디자인 운영 지침 개발, 셋째, 전공 특성에 따라 특성화된 캡스톤 디자인 운영이다. 본 연구에서 제안한 GIS 분야의 전공학문의 캡스톤 디자인 모델을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로젝트 탐색 및 분석 단계로 수요 분석, 주제 선정, 프로젝트 수행 계획의 과정으로 진행된다. 둘째, 프로젝트 수행 단계로 상세 설계, 자료 수집, 데이터베이스 구축 및 결과물 제작의 과정이다. 셋째, 프로젝트 고도화 및 발표 단계로, 학과 내부 평가, 외부 발표 및 홍보, 결과 보고서 제출을 통한 마무리 단계이다.
Abstract
As social environment and national GIS strategy has changed to convergence and industry-academic cooperation. It is need to have a paradigm shift which change in higher GIS education. In this background, this study explored capstone design strategy in GIS education. It is need to make support organization, specific manual and specialized curriculum for capstone design. This study propose capstone design model process as follows. first stage is capstone design proposal, second stage is capstone design management, and final stage is Capstone design finishing and presentation.
