한국의 여성 지식기술창업의 특성에 관한 탐색연구

본 연구는 일자리 창출이 최우선 국정 과제로 대두되는 창조경제시대에 지식기술 집약형여성창업의 특성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 선행연구의 고찰을 통해 창업자 단위, 기업경영 단위, 환경단위로 구분되는 특성지표를 도출하고, 제조업 및 지식기반서비스업을 영위하는 400개 여성창업기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분산분석과 교차분석등을 활용하여 여성 지식기술창업의 특성지표를 기술적(記述的)으로 분석하였고, 그 결과를토대로 여성 지식기술창업을 활성화시키기 위한 여섯 가지의 정책시사점을 제시하였다. 첫째, 여성 지식기술 창업의욕을 고취하기 위한 방안을 마련한다. 둘째, 여성의 창업 마인드제고를 위한 창업교육을 보다 체계적으로 추진한다. 셋째, 여성 지식기술 창업기업에 대한자금난을 완화시켜 준다. 넷째, 성별 차이에 의한 여성 지식기술창업의 불리한 여건을 개선한다. 다섯째, 지식기반서비스업을 중심으로 여성창업 지원책을 마련한다. 마지막으로 여성기업 지원정책에 대한 활용도를 제고한다.
Abstract
This study aims to explore the characteristics of knowledge and technology-based women entrepreneurship in Korea in the era of the creative economy which puts job creation onto a top priority national task. This paper derived indicators, separated by characteristic units of the founder, business management, and environment through a review of previous studies. We conducted a survey of 400 female entrepreneur-managed start-ups in the manufacturing and knowledge-based service industries. Analysis of variance and the Chi-square test of independence were utilized to analyze descriptively the characteristics of knowledge and technology-based women entrepreneurship. As a result, the paper proposed six policy implications for promoting women entrepreneurship: inspiration of entrepreneurship motivation, effective and systematic entrepreneurship education, easy fund-raising, decreasing disadvantage due to gender differences, support programs focused on knowledge-based service industry, and improving the utilization of women's enterprise support policy.
