The Effects of Venture Companies' Core Competence and Cooperation Strategy on their Business Performance

This article has analysed the success factors of the companies in the IT and e-business developed business environment as ‘cooperation and core competence.’ It conducted an empirical study through a survey with 209 CEOs of the venture companies among the ones involving in Korea Venture Business Association. The analysis of the results confirmed that companies focused on the core competence and cooperation with other companies for weak areas had a higher chance of success these days unlike earlier, when companies equipped with all the abilities achieved success. This study has also confirmed that venture companies with limited available funds are in dire need of such strategies.
