Law School was established setting their educational ideology sights on "having prodigious knowledge to provide reliable legal service based on the various needs of people and fostering competent jurists who can solve complicated legal issues adeptly with values focused on freedom⋅ equality⋅justice and also thoroughly understanding people and society. Therefore, Law School’s primary educational role should be focused on practical competency, which is also Law School’s given task to foster competent attorney. Those competency can be accomplished through fully understanding fundamental theory and various precedents in depth. Thus, our Law School’s direction, as well as practical education, should be aimed at fostering jurists who can counsel people and make legal sentences based on fundamental theory and legal knowledge including various precedents. One of the purpose of establishing Law School is to foster competent jurists with fundamental legal mind. I think we can fully accomplish this purpose by necessitating basic legal subjects and basic on the job training. In the case of criminal law as well, we can achieve our goal by educating mandatory subjects faithfully and by designating not only criminal basic on the job training as a required subject, but also criminal law including criminal procedure law, criminal evidence law.
