청소년 자원봉사 지속의지에 미치는 사회적 책임의식의 영향과 참여동기의 다중매개효과
Influence of Adolescents’ Consciousness of Social Responsibility on their Willingness to Continue Volunteering and Multiple Mediation Effects of Motivations

본 연구는 청소년들의 자원봉사 지속의지가 이들의 사회적 책임의식의 영향을 받으며, 이러한 영향은 상이한 참여동기에 의해 매개됨을 검정하려는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 통해서 지속성 있는 청소년 자원봉사 활동을 이끌어내는 데에 실마리가 될 시사점들을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 K도의 중학교 2-3학년을 대상으로 설문지법에 의해 수집한 총 438부의 자료를 SPSS로 분석하면서, Hayes와 Preacher가 제안한 다중매개효과 분석 매크로를 활용하여 매개효과를 검정하였다. 분석 결과 자기개발적 동기와 대의적 동기는 사회적 책임의식이 자원봉사 지속의지에 미치는 영향을 정적으로 유의하게 매개하며, 타인지향적 동기는 사회적 책임감의 영향을 매개하지 않으면서 자원봉사 지속의지에 부적 영향요인으로 작용하는 것을 밝혔다. 그리고 이러한 연구결과가 청소년의 가치관과 의식 및 인성 개발 등을 겨냥하는 교육훈련, 자원봉사 교육훈련 시스템 점검, 인정보상 체계의 보완 등과 관련하여 시사하는 바들을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study was designed to test the influence of the consciousness of social responsibility on the willingness to continue volunteering and the mediation effect of motivation types between these two. Its main purpose is to find out some implications for practical ideas to promote adolescents’ long-lasting volunteering. Data were gathered from a survey the subjects of which were 438 middle school students at 2nd and 3rd grades. We analysed data by SPSS program and applied a macro developed by Hayes and Preacher to verify multiple mediation effects. The results show us that the consciousness of social responsibility influences significantly on the willingness to continue volunteering and that adolescents’ self-developing and cause-directed motivations mediate this influence. However others-directed motivation of them does not mediate it and has some negative effect on the willingness to continue volunteering. Some implications which are derived from these results are suggested in the end. The implications are mainly related to the system and contents of education and/or training and those of incentives.
