Empirical Analysis about Impact of E-Commerce Incentives on Petroleum Product Prices

The E-Commerce market of petroleum products was introduced for stabilizing their prices. Incentives(corporate tax cuts, quota tariffs, exemptions of compulsory biodiesel blend, import charge reimbursement) have been implemented for facilitating the market. Various empirical analyses are necessary to find out whether these incentives contribute to stabilizing the domestic petroleum prices. This study analyzes the impact of the e-commerce market incentives on petroleum products(petrol, diesel) prices. Empirical results show that incentives reduced the prices, and incentives had greater effects on petrol price than on diesel price.
