초록
This study proposed new uniform designs to increase the uniqueness of family restaurants located in S city; it aimed to develop different designs in consideration of brand image. Previously published studies on uniform marketing in the restaurant industry were reviewed and uniform designs were examined in four family restaurants in S city. With the basic data we obtained, two draft proposals were created for this city's Ashley Restaurant using Adobe Illustrator CS 6. The design concept was a natural, enjoyable inside urban garden. Olive green, black, and white were chosen as the main colors. Red and orange were chosen as contrasting colors. In addition, the petal pattern used in the brand logo was modified to fit the garden concept. Different types of uniform were designed according to job title and assignment. Hall station personnel were divided into general manager, head trainer, and mate, whereas kitchen personnel were classified into head trainer, leader mate, and mate. Given that the uniforms worn by workers in family restaurants affect the face-to-face interactions with customers, activity and functionality were taken into consideration as well as expression of a friendly image.
