레이저 컷팅 기법을 활용한 스카프 디자인 연구

본 연구는 패션소품으로 다양하게 활용되는 스카프의 고부가가치 창출을 위해 실크 소재와 레이저 컷팅 기법, 금속 조형물을 사용하여 자연적 이미지를 조형화시킨 스카프 디자인 총 10개를 제안하였다. 레이저 컷팅 기법을 스카프 제작에 접목하여 소재표현에 다양성을 부여하고, 형태와 색상을 재조합함으로서 스카프에 다양한 디자인을 제안하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구방법은 선행논문과 사례분석을 통해 스카프에 사용된 장식기법 등을 살펴보고, 소재개발에 활용될 수 있도록 레이저 컷팅법을 활용한 디자인 사례 등을 분석하였다. 스카프 디자인의 주요 모티브인 자연의 나뭇잎과 꽃잎을 단순화시켜 세련된 이미지를 창출하여 스카프에 조합하였으며, 나뭇잎, 새, 꽃 등을 모티브로 하여 금속 부조물을 제작하여 사용하였다. 작품제작을 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 스카프가 패션소품으로 다양하게 활용되어왔으며, 실용적인 측면 뿐 아니라 장식적인 측면에서 다양한 디자이너 컬렉션에 사용된 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 기존 스카프에 사용되는 장식기법에는 프린트 기법과 프린지 장식 스터드 장식 등이 주를 이루었다. 본 논문에서는 색상과 형태의 다양화를 시도하기 위해 하이패션에 사용되는 레이저 컷팅 기법을 활용하였으며, 디테일과 색상 등의 조합으로 스카프 디자인의 다양화를 시도하였다. 셋째, 실크 소재의 경우 고급스러운 장점을 가지지만 두께가 두껍지 않아 다루기 쉽지 않으며, 시접처리가 까다로우나 본 논문에서는 레이저 컷팅 기법을 활용하여 10가지의 다양한 디자인을 제안 및 제작이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This research suggests 10 scarf designs using laser cutting techniques and metallic formativeness to create scarf, which is used variously as fashion item, as a high value product. Our purpose is to suggest various scarf designs by creating diversity in materials through new technology combination and recombining forms and colors. Our research method was to go through previous papers and case analysis to find decorating techniques used on scarf, utilize possible laser cutting techniques and precision casting process to suggest potential decorations that can be used on scarf designs. We have combined natural images, which is major motives for scarf designs, on scarf designs, and metallic ornaments were also made motivated from leaves, birds and flowers. Based on final product creation we came to three conclusions. First, we were able to learn that scarf was used variously as fashion item and has been used in many designer’s collection for not only practical use, but also for decorative purposes. Also, beads and tassel, or printing techniques were used to increase the decorativeness of the scarf. Secondly, the development of science made it possible for more numbers of techniques to be used on scarf design. Amongst them, laser cutting technique allowed various design layouts to be possible using natural images. Thirdly, metallic ornaments used as points, made to express natural motives on scarf, differentiated the scarf by making it look more high-class. Also, we were able to find the possibility of using scarf as high-value product industry’s item by using various materials.
