기술협력 파트너 다양성의 선행요인에 관한 실증연구

본 연구에서는 과학기술정책연구원이 격년으로 실시하는 기술혁신조사 데이터를 활용하여 기술협력파트너 다양성에 영향을 주는 선행요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 기술협력 파트너 다양성에영향을 주는 요인으로서 기업 외부환경에 해당하는 시장 불확실성과 정부 R&D 지원 의존도, 그리고기업 내부요인으로서 기술정보 부족과 혁신정보 원천의 다양성을 살펴보았다. 실증분석 결과, 기업은시장 불확실성이 클 경우 다양한 기술협력 파트너와 협력하는 것으로 나타났으며, 혁신활동 과정 중에다양한 정보원천을 활용하는 정도 역시 기술협력 파트너 다양성에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 기술발전 속도와 융합기술의 등장 등 기술 환경이 급속하게변화하는 상황에서 시장의 불확실성, 특히 기업이 생산하는 제품이나 서비스의 수요를 예측하는 것은기업에게 매우 큰 난관이며, 기업은 이러한 불확실성을 극복하기 위한 수단으로 다양한 유형의 파트너와기술협력을 추진하는 것임을 알 수 있다. 또한, 다양한 혁신정보 원천을 활용할수록 보다 다양한 유형의파트너와 기술협력을 추진하는 경향이 있다는 점에서, 기존 연구의 조직루틴과 관성에 관한 논의가기술협력 파트너 선택의 상황에서도 설명력을 지니고 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있다.
Abstract
In this study, the empirical analysis for the antecedents of technology cooperation partner diversity is conducted using the Korea Innovation Survey (KIS) data. Four independent variables are considered : market uncertainty, government R&D support, lack of technology information, and various sources of information. The results of regression analysis suggest that there is a positive relationship between technology cooperation partner diversity and market uncertainty, and that various sources of information positively affects technology cooperation partner diversity. However, government R&D support and lack of technology information do not have a significant relation to technology cooperation partner diversity. The findings in this study imply that real option perspective, organizational-inertia and routine perspective could provide meaningful insights for explaining the factors affecting technology cooperation partner diversity.
