초등 사회과 ‘인권’ 내용 단원의 교육과정 시기별 변화 분석

This study aims to give a broad overview of human rights contents in elementary social studies from the 6th curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum. An content analysis was conducted social studies curriculum documents and textbooks that have been used in elementary schools, beginning with the 6th curriculum until the revised 2015 curriculum. The findings are as follows: First, ‘human rights’ unit comprised within the political content, and presented in connection with the ‘fundamental rights’. Second, according to analysis by achievement standards of elementary social studies curriculum, ‘protection of human rights’ been emphasized by the goal of human rights education. Third, ‘awareness and sensitivity of one’s own rights’ and ‘participation and practice in the human rights issues’are hardly mentioned between the 6th∼2009 revised curriculum. Forth, the situations of students-related human rights are hardly mentioned between the 6th∼2009 revised curriculum. Fifth, the case presentation of the disadvantaged has become diverse between the 6th∼2009 revised curriculum. Sixth, the presentation of learning activity about human rights became more diverse and abundant between the 6th∼2009 revised curriculum.
