「발달장애인 권리 보장 및 지원에 관한 법률」에 대한 장애학생 부모의 수용태도 및 인식 분석

The purpose of this research is to survey and analyze how the parents of students with developmental disability take and perceive the recently in effect act on support and guarantee of right for persons with developmental disability. The subjects were the parents reside in the Gwangju and Jeonnam area. 185 surveys were collected and analyzed using the SPSS WIN 24. The results are as follows. The parents of students with developmental disability had high level of understanding and expectation for the act, but they showed low level of acceptance for the national policies regarding people with developmental disability and acceptance of people without disability. The parents think highly of guarantee of self-determination and right in judicial and criminal proceeding and think lowly of exclusive prosecutor and judicial police officer system, measure to prevent crime targeted people with developmental disability, welfare service appliance and penalty system. The parents experienced cases of physical abuse, neglection, bullying and sexual abuse in this order. The parents request welfare services in the order of rehabilitation and development support, employment and vocational training, care and support and early diagnosis support. The parents seek aid in the order of developmental disability support center, community service center, school and education office. In conclusion this research discuss and suggest amendments regarding act on support and guarantee of right for persons with developmental disability based on the perception of the parents of students with developmental disability.
