초록
‘세계화’ 담론의 지배이데올로기인 신자유주의는 자본의 자율성을 최대한 보장하며 전지구를 하나의 체계로 묶어낸다. 네그리와 하트는 이러한 경향에서 등장하는 새로운 세계질서를 ‘제국’으로 규정하고, 그 제국권력을 거부하는 구성원을 ‘다중’으로 정의한다. 이 연구의 목적은 네그리와 하트의 시각을 빌어, 한국사회구조의 통제전략을 분석하고 새로운 정치주체인 ‘다중’의 필요성을 알아보는 것이다. 오늘날 한국사회에서 정치적․경제적․사법적 구조는 제국의 정치권력과 자본을 통해 정치주체들―국민, 민중과 시민―을 통제하고 있다. 이러한 구조를 수용하는 한국사회의 정치주체들은 정치․경제적 영역에서 위축을 느끼고 체제에 순응하며 살아가고 있다. 그러나 한국사회의 새로운 정치주체인 ‘다중’은 정치권력과 자본에 의해 운용되는 통제전략에서 벗어나, 수직적 위계체계를 거부하고 새로운 주체성을 형성하고자 한다. 이들은 기존의 정치주체들과 공존하며, 새로운 공동체를 형성하기 위해 활력을 증대시킨다. 이제, 한국사회의 정치적 성숙을 위해 새로운 상상력을 확대할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
Neo-liberalism, the dominant ideology of the globalization is possible to guarantee the autonomy of capital and tied to a single global system. In this trend, A. Negri & M. Hardt define 'Empire' as a sovereignty's form of a new world order and 'multitude' as alternative member of 'Empire'. The purpose of this study is invoked the vision of A. Negri & M. Hardt analyzes controlling strategy of the Korean social structure, and finds out the necessity of new political subject, 'multitude'. Political, economic and judicial structure is controlling political subjects ―nation, people and citizen― through the capital and political power of 'Empire' in today's Korean society. Political subjects to accommodate this structures of today's Korean society are to adapt oneself to systems, they exist feeling the contraction in political and economic areas. but new political subject of the Korean society, 'multitude' takes away from 'controlling strategy' operated by political power and the capital, they would reject vertical power structure and try to form a new identity. They coexist with the existing political subjects, increase puissance to make a new community. Now, it is necessity to expand new imagination to political maturity of the Korean society.
