윤리교육에 대한 카지노 직원의 지각수준이 내부고발의지 및 비윤리적 행위에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향: 이상주의 윤리가치관의 조절효과

We examined the effect of casino employee's perception levels of ethics education on the will of whistle-blowing and attitude toward unethical behavior. We also investigated the moderating effect of idealism ethical values. Based on the judgement sampling, we selected the final valid sample among casino dealers who have participated in an ethics education program at least one or more times. We performed hierarchical regression analysis and multiple regression analysis including moderating dummy variables of idealism ethical values to investigate the research hypothesis. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, we found that casino employee's perception levels of the ethics education had a significantly positive effect on will of whistle-blowing and had a significantly negative effect on attitude toward unethical behavior. It means that will of whistle blowing and ethical attitude toward unethical behavior is stronger for casino dealers with higher perception levels of ethics education. Second, we found that idealism ethical values moderate significantly the relationship between perception levels of ethics education with will of whistle blowing and attitude toward unethical behavior. It implies that the eufunctional role of ethics education is influenced differently by casino dealer’s idealism ethical values. Findings of this research have several implications to casino management. First, it can contribute to enhancing the importance and right understanding of ethics education. Second, it provides the necessity and usefulness of fostering and facilitating casino dealer’s idealism ethical values. Finally, it can contribute to developing and cultivating transparent corporate culture via ethics education.
